카루스바이오, 엠디뮨서 사명 변경…인비보 CAR 치료제 개발 나서
국내 1세대 엑소좀 기업 엠디뮨이 창업 11년 만에 사명을 카루스바이오로 변경하고 자체 신약개발에 착수했다. 기존에는 외부 기업의 약물을 세포유래베지클(CDV)에 담아 전달하는 플랫폼 사업을 영위했으나, 체내에서 면역세포를 직접 CAR-T 또는 CAR-M으로 전환하는 인비보 CAR 치료제 개발로 사업 방향을 확장했다. 회사는 세포를 미세한 막으로 압출해 나노입자를 생산하는 원천 기술을 보유하고 있다.
